DISCLAIMER: Should you be offended by foul language, harsh reality or pointed honesty, LEAVE NOW! If not, enjoy the read. You can’t say (or post) I didn’t warn you.

WE WISH YOU A MERRY SHITMAS,

AND A FUCKED-UP NEW YEAR

Offensive? Sure is, I don’t care.

Topical? Sure is.

Honest? You guessed it, sure is.

Pointed? Sure is with an Ouchy at the pointy end.

Take a deep breath. Tear off the band-aid while I serve up a healthy dose of perspective, with a bit of levity added for spice. This is not an op-ed written by a sugar-coated, hallow unicorn influencer who seeks affirmation through “likes.”

This article is realism as seen through the eyes of one human who has been suffering through this global pandemic. I liken this experience to a perpetual set of tidal waves that give pause just long enough for you to take a quick breath, then another tidal wave hits.

For two years running, the entire global community has been suffering because of a group of corrupted, megalomaniacal individuals playing God with a cocktail of viruses. Conspiracy theory, I think not.

Chemical warfare and world domination? That’s a bit extreme. However, the global economy has been decimated — for the most part, yet the wealthy keep on sucking-in money like a possessed Dyson vacuum, while the rest of the global community continues to wither and die.

Getting vaccinated is not a “cure.” Getting vaccinated does not make you immune. However, getting vaccinated protects somewhat, reducing the severity of known symptoms. So stop your whining and get vaccinated!

What has happened has happened. But, unfortunately, the guilty few who perpetuated the pandemic will never admit nor take responsibility for the pandemic.

The point of all this? I’m glad you asked. Stand up and give your pea-brained head a shake. Stop being a victim and start being assertive. Ask uncomfortable questions. Who cares if you “rock-the-boat.” I say ROCK-ON!

In times of isolation or tragedy, introspection is omnipresent. As I take that introspective look, I found my voice in writing.
